At Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, flight operations faced delays and cancellations due to low visibility, though CAT III procedures helped some aircraft land safely in difficult conditions.

Road commuters were also affected, with poor visibility on highways and city roads prompting traffic advisories and heightened accident risk. Officials urged motorists to use fog lights and drive cautiously.

The dense fog is part of a recurring winter pattern in North India tied to dropping temperatures and trapped pollutants, raising air quality health concerns especially for children, elderly, and people with respiratory conditions.
